Hack The Culture is 2 days away!!

Hello everyone!

Thank you for your interest in participating in #HackTheCulture 2020 – A virtual hackathon experience at the intersection of Technology, Culture, and Social Justice. We are also excited to kick off this inaugural event hosted by Impact Ventures, a Dallas-based non-profit organization on a mission to close the income and wealth gap for minorities and women through tech career pathways, inclusive entrepreneurship, and capital investment. We also are honored to partners with some great organizations in Women Who Code DFW, Girls in Tech Dallas, NSBE DFW, UT Dallas, and Paul Quinn College to name a few.

Before we get into the nitty gritty of the upcoming #HTC2020 experience we have a few housekeeping items to share so everyone is on the same page as we move forward:

  1. Just as a reminder, this hackathon is open to all U.S. based individuals 18+ Individuals under 18 may participate, however will not be eligible to enter prize competitions.

  2. In order to get all updates in real time concerning the event we need everyone to sign-up to our exclusive communication on Discord. Please join us at https://discord.gg/hSJd76B  *Please note the HTC Discord portal is reserved for HTC participants, volunteers, partners, and sponsors only. Please do NOT share this link publicly.   3. Please be sure to create you and your team members have created profiles on DEVPOST in order to be eligible to submit your teams project during the event. If oyu dont have a team, don't worry we'll help assemble teams on Friday evening. Join here: https://hacktheculture2020.devpost.com/ 

  4. Please connect with us on social media as we highlight our partners and participants hack experience on our platforms.

We are a little less than 2 days away! If you’ve already completed the items above then you my friends are the real VIP!! All videos and talks will be hosted on out live site at www.hacktheculture.co/live  and streamed on our Facebook, YouTube, & Twitch channels.
